VW Polo WRC Street Concept Revealed

Volkswagen has revealed its new Polo WRC street concept.  Allthough being released in concept form, VW has confirmed it is likely to be put into production towards the end of 2013 as a special edition which will be produced in limited numbers.


The Street Concept is inspired by the the Polo R WRC with its recent entry to the world rally championship for 2013.

The Polo WRC Street will be fitted with a 2.0 litre TSI engine with supercharger and turbochargerand is set to turn out around the 217bhp mark, which is more powerful than the current VW Golf GTI.

The Polo Street will also have a sportier bodykit with deeper bumpers and a rear diffuser, larger alloy wheels, sports suspension, and a motorsport graphic paintjob.
