The new Polo R will consist of a more sportier look with deeper front and rear bumpers, side skirts and larger 16" alloy wheels as standard.
The Polo R will run on a 1.2 litre turbo petrol engine to achieve 104bhp, with a 0-62mph time of 9.7 seconds. VW claims the Polo is likely to achieve around 53mpg.
Prices for the Polo R are likely to start from around the £15,000 mark.
