Maserati has revealed its new GranCabrio MC ahead of the Paris Motor
Show this week. Designed to complete Maserati’s open-top range with a
highly sporty and aggressive look.
The new model takes its front end styling from the MC Stradale
model, and is fitted with an updated rear bumper and a new rear spoiler,
said to reduce lift at high speed.
The bonnet incorporates two generous air outlets at the centre to
optimise cooling of the powerful V8, and two more air outlets to cool
down the brake discs have also been added to the two front wings.
New bi-xenon matt black headlights use the most modern technology
deliver a more sporty look. The bi-xenon unit inside the headlight also
incorporates Adaptive Light Control.
The interior has had an overhaul with redesigned seats for optimum
comfort and performance. The steering wheel features a new design, with a
flattened rim at the top and bottom for greater manoeuvrability, also
for sports and high-speed use, without interfering with the driver’s
legs.
The GranCabrio MC will be powered by the 4.7-litre V8 engine, which
delivers around 460bhp with a 0-60mph in 5.2 seconds and will go on to a
top speed of 177mph. and will be offered with a automatic six-speed ZF
transmission.
More details will be revealed at its debut at the Paris Motor Show.
