Fuel Prices Hit Record High

Fuel prices in the UK have hit a record high in March 2012 with average petrol prices hitting around £1.40 a litre and diesel prices averaging £1.46 a litre.

The increase in fuel costs are down to oil prices increasing which have risen by 12 percent since early 2012.

These increases give another blow to Uk motorists as just a few days ago the Chancellor of the Exchequer announced plans on a 3 pence a litre fuel duty rise for the August budget.

As a result of this petrol prices are expected ti hit the £1.45 mark by August 2012 and diesel in the region of £1.50 a litre.
