Today was the final race of the 2011 formula one season at Brazils Interlagos circuit.It was Webber who went on to win the last race of the season after overtaking Sebastian Vettel on the 40th lap as the world champion was suffering with gearbox issues.
Vettel started on pole but was informed early on of the gearbox problems and was told to shortshift and turn down the engine to get the car to the finish. Vettel managed to do this and achieved 2nd place followed by Jenson Button.
Jenson Button who started in 3rd lost his place early on to Fernando Alonso but managed to gain his place back late on in the race. Buttons team mate Hamilton ended up dissappointed after a transmission failure on the 47th lap.
